MIGUEL GARCIA

Biography

Miguel has almost 25 years of experience serving the financial needs of high-net-worth and middle market institutional clients. His primary role is to build lasting professional relationships with each of his clients. He accomplishes this by listening to their concerns, analyzing their current holdings and then recommending an individually crafted investment strategy, designed to help them achieve their financial goals. Constant monitoring of portfolios helps assure that when personal circumstances or the financial markets change, he is able to modify strategies rapidly and accordingly.

Miguel joined the Oppenheimer Miami office in 2009. Prior to joining Oppenheimer he worked with EFG Capital in Miami, where he was a Senior Vice President and financial consultant in its international office. At EFG, he developed fixed-income, capital growth, option trading strategies and lending solutions for high net worth investors, corporations, international banks, mutual funds and offshore securities brokerage firms located throughout the Americas. From 1994 to June 2004 he served as a Senior Vice President in the international office of Smith Barney, where he was a member of its Chairman’s Club. Miguel is fluent in English, Spanish and French. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics with a major in International Commerce from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, and his MBA, with a double major in Finance and Marketing, from the University of Miami. He holds the FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative Exam), Series 3 (National Commodities Futures Examination), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent License) and Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law Examination) registrations. He is also licensed as an agent for life insurance and variable annuities in the state of Florida.
