ANDREW LERNER,
Designation: AWMA™, CFP®, ChFC®
Andrew Lerner is a founding partner of The Atlantic Group. Andrew serves as the group’s CEO, his focus is establishing and executing the tone, culture and management structure of the team. He is responsible for driving innovation and overseeing the group’s client engagement platform. Prior to joining Oppenheimer, Andrew was a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley, where he developed and ran the teams’ financial planning platform for their high net worth clients.
Andrew has been recognized by Forbes as a Best in State Wealth Advisor (2022), Next-Gen Best in State Wealth Advisor (2022, 2019), Forbes Top 250 Next-Gen Wealth Advisors (2021), Top 500 Next-Gen Wealth Advisors (2020), Top 1000 Next Gen-Wealth Advisor (2018). Andrew is passionate about helping his local community. The Atlantic Group works closely with Feeding South Florida and participates in their annual Thanksgiving Food Frenzy to help feed families in need during the holidays. Not only was the Atlantic group the top team in 2020, but Andrew was also the top fundraiser.
He is a member of Mensa and the Florida Financial Planning Association (FPA). Andrew holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation from The American College of Financial Services and the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA™) designation from the College for Financial Planning. He holds the following FINRA registrations: General Securities Representatives (Series 7) and uniform combined State Law (Series 66) and the Municipal Advisor Representative Exam (Series 50). He attended The Stockholm School of Economics and Florida Atlantic University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a minor in Risk Management.
Andrew lives in Delray Beach with his fiancé Celine and their dog Milo. He enjoys traveling, boating and playing pickleball..
LOGAN SHALMI
Logan Shalmi is a founding partner of The Atlantic Group. Logan leads The Atlantic Group’s Investment Committee that oversees investment policy and due diligence. Logan’s role on the team is providing comprehensive wealth management services including investment guidance, asset management, estate and trust planning strategies, philanthropic gifting and wealth transfer strategies. In addition, he recommends and monitors strategic/tactical asset allocation strategies with the help of our affiliate, Oppenheimer Asset Management.

Logan and his wife Tiffany live in Delray Beach with their three children Brody, Julia and Brooks. Logan is a member of the B’nai Torah Congregation and is on the Board of Directors for HomeSafe, which provides comprehensive programs to infants, children, young adults and families. He is a proud supporter of the Jewish Federation. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing golf and is a member of the Boca Rio Golf Club and The Boca Raton.
MARK ZUCKERMAN
Mark joined The Atlantic Group in 2015, but began his career at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 1996. He has 20 years of experience counseling business owners, corporate executives and affluent families in the areas of wealth and retirement planning services, hedging and monetization, asset allocation and alternative investments for qualified investors. Mark concentrates his focus on delivering high alpha portfolio management for the group. A contrarian by nature, these strategies could include opportunistic equity and options trading.
Mark has been recognized by Forbes as a Best In State Wealth Advisors in 2020. Mark earned his MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.
Mark and his wife Laura live in Parkland with their two children Reuben and Iliana. Mark enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach and golfing.
HECTOR GARCIA,
Designation: AWMA™, CFP®
Hector joined The Atlantic Group in 2018 after moving to Florida with his family from Mexico. Prior to joining The Atlantic Group, Hector previously worked as a Financial Advisor at Scotia Wealth Management in Mexico.
Hector focuses on financial planning and wealth management for a select group of families. He collaborates with his clients’ trusted tax and legal advisors to create holistic plans for domestic and international clientele, specializing in Latin America.
He holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He holds the following licenses: General Securities Representatives (Series 7), uniform combined State Law (Series 66), and Health and Life (Including Annuities & Variable Contracts) Insurance License.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey.
Hector lives in Miami with his wife Jimena and his son Jaime. He enjoys tennis, golfing and reading history books.
LANCE ROSS
Lance joined The Atlantic Group in 2021, but began his career at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 2010. He focuses on advising affluent families and institutions, including trusts, estates, foundations, endowments, pension plans and individuals with concentrated stock positions. He emphasizes the importance of meticulous client service backed by skillful collaboration with Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc., Oppenheimer Trust Company and with his clients’ trusted tax and legal advisors. This collaboration gives him a holistic view into each client’s financial dealings, including tax and estate planning strategies, concentrated stock positions and sales of privately held businesses. Lance has participated in five successive years of the invitation-only Oppenheimer annual Asset Managers’ Roundtable for the firm’s top advisors.
Prior to joining Oppenheimer, Lance served as Vice President of Bernstein Global Wealth Management’s Private Client Group. He graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies in English, Economics and Finance from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
Lance currently lives in Fort Lauderdale, FL with his wife Amy and two children. He enjoys golf, swimming and walking, as well as spending as much time as possible with his family.
THOMAS AVAZIAN
Thomas joined The Atlantic Group in 2023, with a career that spans over 30 years. Before joining the team, he worked as a former global executive for Bank of America and a trusted leader at Merrill Lynch, where he worked with large multinational companies and international financial institutions to structure and implement complex multi-million dollar transactions. Tom served in numerous strategic, administrative and sales leadership positions.
Tom focuses strongly on structuring recommendations to fit clients’ specific needs, lifestyles and perspectives, be it financial and retirement planning, investment management, corporate and executive services, trust and estate planning, or generational wealth transfer.
Tom earned his MBA from The University of Southern California, and dual Bas in Economics and Spanish from U.C. Irvine, California. Tom is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese, and is involved in Armenian cultural and philanthropic activities.
Tom and his wife Alessandra live in South Florida, have four grown children, and enjoy outdoor sports, ocean activities and travelling internationally.
BRUCE OLEPHANT
Bruce is a Senior Director of Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. and has been at the firm since 1994. He brings over 33 years of experience in the financial services industry. Bruce is accountable for working with a select group of private clients to apply and develop customized wealth plans, highlighting specific equity approaches that he recommends for their detailed objectives. Bruce earned his BS in Business Economics from Rutgers University and his MBA in Accounting from Hofstra University.
JACK PESCATORE
Jack joined The Atlantic Group in 2023, but began his career at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 2006. He brings over 32 years of financial experience to the team. Prior to starting his financial career in 1991, Jack was a grade-school history teacher from 1968-71, in law enforcement in Essex County from 1971-86, and an industrial real estate agent from 1986-91.
Jack works with a select group of private clients, with specific expertise of helping clients who have recently experienced or are about to experience a liquidity event. He helps clients each step of the way in managing their portfolios and efficiently planning for future generations.
Jack holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Seton Hall University. He currently lives in Boynton Beach, FL with his wife Carmelann. Jack enjoys golfing and exercising with his wife in his free time.
CHARLES SHALMI
Charles is an Executive Director of Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. and has been at the firm since 2003. Charles brings over 32 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 10 years as a Branch Manager at David Lerner Associates. Charles is responsible for Team Management, Marketing Initiatives, and Project Management for the group. He also works closely with a select group of private clients to develop and implement customized wealth strategies, emphasizing individual equity strategies that he recommends for their specific needs.
JOSEPH CIANCIOTTO,
Designation: AWMA™
Joseph became an official member of The Atlantic Group in 2021, but began with the team as an intern in 2018. He focuses on client management, concentrating on the development of financial plans. He is also responsible for the team’s risk management and insurance planning, including maintaining annuity, life insurance, and long term care policies for The Atlantic Group.
Joseph holds the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor™ (AWMA™) designation from the College for Financial Planning. He holds the following FINRA registrations: General Securities Representatives (Series 7) and Uniform Combined State Law (Series 66). He attended Florida Atlantic University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Cum Laude.
Outside of the office, you can find Joseph working on his physical fitness at the gym or training Jiu-Jitsu. Joseph enjoys going to the beach and spending time with his friends and family.
CANDIA DITONNO
Candia joined The Atlantic Group in 2023. Her responsibilities include leading business development, client relations, and onboarding. Candia is responsible for enhancing the client experience and strengthening relationships with current and prospective clients. Additionally, she supports the marketing team with strategic brand development, creative execution, and implementation of marketing content for The Atlantic Group across social media platforms.
Candia began her career in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as Reorganization Supervisor with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. She re-located to Boca Raton as Branch Manager to open a branch office for a small municipal bond firm and has lived there ever since. She has over 30 years of experience in the Financial Industry, 25 of those years with Morgan Stanley.
Candia holds the following FINRA registrations: General Securities Representative (Series 7), General Securities Sales Supervisor (Series 8), General Securities Principal (Series 24), Futures Managed Funds (Series 31), and Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63).
Candia spends her free time with family and friends enjoying the tropical life, reading, staying fit and making sure her two pups get enough exercise.
KEVIN KUHAR,
Designation: CAIA®
Kevin joined the group in 2017 bringing over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining the team, he has worked at a number of leading financial firms including JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, and UBS. Kevin is responsible for investment research and client reporting, as well as managing the Omega Dividend Select Portfolio for the Atlantic Group.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Babson College and a Master’s degree in Finance from Bentley College. Kevin also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment AnalystSM (CAIASM®) designation from the CAIASM association.
DYLAN CHAPPELL
Dylan became an official member of The Atlantic Group in 2023 but began with the team as an intern in 2021. He focuses on supporting financial advisors with financial planning, client reporting, and investment research.
He attended Florida Atlantic University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Minor in Economics. He is pursuing a Master of Science in Finance at Florida Atlantic University’s Executive Education program.
Dylan lives in Delray Beach. He enjoys working out, watching sports, and spending time with friends.
CAROLYN NITTO
Carol joined the Firm in 2008 and became a member of The Atlantic Group of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 2016, assisting clients from the Florham Park, NJ office. She brings over 37 years of industry and client service experience to the team.
PATTI CHALICH
Patti's primary concern is The Atlantic Group's clients. She is responsible for assisting clients with operational, administrative, and miscellaneous tasks. She has 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining The Atlantic Group, she worked at a number of leading financial firms, including Morgan Stanley & UBS.
PAMELA FRADLIN
Pamela became an official member of The Atlantic Group in June 2022, but began with the team as an intern in 2021. Her primary responsibility is to support Financial Advisors in their day-to-day operations to grow the wealth management practice. She cultivates new and existing client relationships through active communication with clients, by processing client requests, resolving inquiries, providing guidance and making sure key information and documentation remains current.
Pam attended Florida Atlantic University, as a first-generation college student. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Minor in Accounting.
Pam lives is Delray Beach. She enjoys traveling, playing with her dog Mario and spending time with friends.
