Matt Jaskolka is a Financial Advisor at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., based in the Virginia Beach, Virginia office located in Town Center. He has a deep passion for wealth management and excels at crafting customized portfolios that serve as the foundation for his clients’ comprehensive Financial Plans. Matt’s goal is to provide exceptional service by attentively listening to his clients' concerns and educating them on strategies customized to their unique situations. As an Advisor with Oppenheimer, Matt is not confined to any single strategy or philosophy. Instead, he builds tailored Plans, offers guidance on complex decisions, and recommends solutions that align with his clients' desired outcomes.

Originally from Warren, PA, Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA, in 2017. After spending two and a half years in public accounting, Matt realized that his passion for helping others extended far beyond preparing tax returns. He shifted his focus to wealth management, dedicating his efforts to preparing individuals for retirement. “There’s a joy and fulfillment in helping someone see the pieces of their complex financial puzzle come together,” Matt explains. “People seek certainty in an uncertain world and want to know if they are going to be ‘OK’ in retirement. How someone defines ‘OK’ is truly individualized, and their Financial Plan should reflect that.”

When Matt isn’t meeting with clients, he enjoys spending time at the beach, reading, snowboarding, working to improve his golf game, and weight training. A former college baseball player and Little League coach, Matt is committed to giving back to the game by volunteering in youth programs and helping the next generation discover their love of baseball.

Melissa entered the financial services industry in 1989. During her career, she has spent time with Dean Witter Reynolds, Raymond James, Ameriprise and has currently been with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. since January of 2019. Melissa is fully registered and holds her series 7, 9, 10 and 66 licenses.

On a personal note, while not a Hampton Roads native, she has lived in the area since 1987. Melissa was born and raised in the southwestern part of Virginia where she still has family members today. Whenever she gets a chance, Melissa goes back there to visit family and friends who she still maintains relationships with.

Melissa and her 2 daughters, Kaitlin and Megan, reside in Virginia Beach. In their free time, they all love going to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA and Sandbridge beach on weekends in the summer. They also enjoy quiet time at home having family game nights.
