E. MATTHEW STEINBERG,
Designation: CLTC®
Matthew Steinberg’s financial services practice focuses on five main areas: investment needs, education savings, life insurance, retirement and wealth planning strategies. He also works with businesses in the Greater Philadelphia area to design and implement retirement programs that range from 401(k)s to profit-sharing plans.
Matthew’s training enables him to assist clients with tax-advantaged investments along with designing both retirement and financial planning strategies for high net worth individuals. His work philosophy is sincere and to the point: “I take some of the emotion out of investing by acting as a support for my clients when the markets are not steady. I focus on establishing long-term relationships and providing sound investment advice. While I can’t change the nature of the markets, I can make informed decisions based on a long-term perspective and strategy.” Through consistent effort and a reputation for outstanding service, he has built a solid base of satisfied clients. Before joining Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 1994, Matthew had a successful career with a major Wall Street firm.
Matthew holds the General Securities Representative License (Series 7), the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination (Series 63) and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam (Series 65). He is also licensed as an agent for life and health insurance in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has earned the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) from the Center for Fiduciary Studies and The Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC®). Matthew focuses on the discipline of extended care planning and has the critical tools necessary to discuss the subject of longevity and its consequences on a client's family and finances. Matthew is also a member of Oppenheimer’s prestigious Chairman’s Council, since 2015, which recognizes the Firm’s Top 40 Financial Advisors and is also a member of The President’s Advisory Council of Oppenheimer Asset Management, Inc.
