Biography:

For more than 35 years, Hal Perkins has worked as a financial advisor for high net worth clients. Entering the investment industry in 1978, Hal has spent more than 30 of those years with Oppenheimer. He employs a wide variety of individualized investment strategies and planning techniques to serve his clients. A native Texan and lifelong resident, Mr. Perkins graduated from the University of Texas Graduate School of Business in 1978 with an M.B.A. in finance and accounting. His undergraduate studies were at Rice University in Houston (President’s Honor Role 1974-1975), from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, earning an athletic scholarship (1971-1975) and lettering in football.

Hal has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies™. The AIF designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. Hal is also a member of the Investment Management Consultant Association (IMCA) as well as other industry associations.

Finally, Hal has been named Best-in-State for 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021,and 2019 by Forbes magazine in their annual survey through Forbes/Shook Research.

EUGENE TUNITSKY,

Biography:

Eugene works with high net worth families, individuals, business owners, foundations, and institutions. His focus is to provide financial planning along with customized financial strategies involving asset allocations among stocks and bonds and, where appropriate, nontraditional investments.

Eugene began his career in May 2009 at Morgan Keegan & Co. (now part of Raymond James & Co.) and joined Oppenheimer in May, 2012. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Business Foundations from the University of Texas at Austin. Eugene holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, from The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He holds the General Securities Representative License (Series 7) and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination (Series 66). He is also licensed as an agent for life, accident, health insurance and annuities.

Eugene believes in a moral and philanthropic obligation to give back to the community. He currently sits on the board of the Daar Charitable Foundation and World Help Ukraine. He previously sat on the board of the Eric M Suhl Foundation, Holocaust Museum Foundation, Jewish Family Service of Houston, Kiwanis Club of Houston, and was a mentor to the BigBrothersBigSisters program. Eugene enjoys spending time with his wife and two children Max and Lilly. Eugene was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine and speaks Russian fluently.

MYRA MAYER,

Biography:

Myra joined Oppenheimer in 1989 and has extensive experience working closely with high-net-worth clients. She began her fi nancial career in 1964 as a securities analyst for the First National Bank of Chicago. She joined First American Bank, N.A. Washington D.C. as a Vice President in 1969. Her positions included Head of the Trust Investment Department and Chairman of the Asset Liability Committee. In 1984, Myra moved to Houston for the position of Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Gibraltar Savings Association, where she managed a $4 billion investment portfolio.

Myra graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Arizona and earned an M.B.A. in Finance from The American University. She holds the prestigious designation of CFA, Chartered Financial Analyst, and is a member of the Partnership Board, Baylor College of Medicine, the Patient and Family Council, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Chartered Financial Analysts Society. Myra has previously served on the Finance Committee, Holocaust Museum Houston, and the Board of Congregation Emanu El.

ROMAN REED

Biography:

Roman Reed, a Senior Director - Investments and Portfolio Manager at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., boasts 35 years of expertise in Public Accounting and Global Wealth Management. His illustrious career began with pivotal roles at esteemed organizations, including audit and consulting positions at Arthur Andersen, Gerald Hines, and Coopers & Lybrand. Roman’s contributions extend to leading institutions such as Chase Private Bank, UBS International, and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He has also held distinguished roles as Managing Director of an RIA at Sailbridge Wealth Management and Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Advisors.

Beyond his career, Roman is deeply committed to public service. He served as a trustee for the Houston Symphony, an elected Councilman, and Mayor Protem for Bellaire, Texas. He is currently on the Advisory Board for the Bush School of Government & Public Service and a Board Member for the Petroleum Club of Houston. Roman actively participates in alumni associations and social clubs, including the Texas A&M Lettermen Association, The “C” Club of Houston, and the Bayou Breakfast Club of Houston.

Born and raised in Mexico, Roman is bilingual in Spanish. He was a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and served in the US Army Reserves until his honorable discharge in May 1993.

Outside of work, Roman enjoys sports and historical literature. He cherishes his enduring partnership with his wife, Sally of 37 years.
