We want to thank each of our interns for their commitment to their roles, their contributions to our firm, and for choosing Oppenheimer.
Read the short stories below from a few of our interns as they reflect on their overall summer at Oppenheimer.
Jacqueline Andrade – Operations
“Oppenheimer gives you the ability to work alongside executives and learn directly from them. I was able to build strong connections and relationships with everyone I was surrounded with as well as the other interns. Some advice I would give future interns is to come into your internship willing to learn and with an open mind because you never know who you will meet or what you will learn.”
Sophia Konstantinou – Convertible Securities
“The Oppenheimer culture is unlike any other. As an intern, I felt able to speak with and build a relationship with anyone on the trading floor if their products piqued my interest. The experience was an incredible way to not only build tangible skills, but to learn about the ins-and-outs of the industry as a whole.”
Relly Ladner – Marketing
“Throughout my eight week internship, I had the opportunity to speak with many different employees from a variety of departments at Oppenheimer. Every single person I spoke to had the same answer to the question: Why Oppenheimer? This answer was always along the lines of “because of the people and the culture.” Having spent the summer here, I can confidently agree with this answer.
Interning for Oppenheimer was an incredible and educational experience, but one of my biggest take-a-ways from this internship is that the people you surround yourself with matter a lot. In this life of choices, you can’t choose your family. But, you can choose your job. Ultimately, at Oppenheimer, you have both: a job and a work family. Thank you for allowing me to intern with your family, Oppenheimer!”
Matthew Raab – Fixed Income
“Oppenheimer has an innovative and inclusive work culture that provides an open line of communication to thought leaders and industry leading perspectives. I’m extremely grateful for my time at Oppenheimer.”
David Reichberg – Client Strategy and Data Analytics
"It was clear to me from the moment I started at Oppenheimer that the firm embodies a relentless drive to benefit their stakeholders, both inside and out. This overarching goal creates what I believe to be Oppenheimer’s most valuable asset: a culture of constant iteration and improvement. I know that if I can carry this culture to everything I do, success will surely follow."
