Bringing Warmth and Hope: Oppenheimer Supports 7th Annual Operation Warm Coat Drive

Oppenheimer is proud to continue supporting the annual Operation Warm Coat Drive, now in its seventh year, reaffirming our commitment to giving back to the Chicago community. Mike Kelly, Director of Investments at Oppenheimer’s Chicago office, has once again taken a leading role in this meaningful initiative, working closely with Operation Warm to provide new winter coats to underprivileged children in the area. Mike’s unwavering dedication is a driving force behind this partnership, and we are honored to be part of an effort that brings warmth and hope to so many children.

This year, we were excited to host the return of the “Coats for Kids Charity Benefit,” which featured a memorable performance by Gerald McClendon, “The Soulkeeper,” at the Valley Lo Club in Glenview. With 125 guests in attendance, the event was a powerful reminder of the compassion and generosity within our community, making a tangible difference for children in Chicagoland Public Schools. As we look to the future, we remain committed to our mission of distributing thousands of coats to children in need.

Operation Warm, a national nonprofit, has been dedicated to providing new winter coats and shoes to children since its founding. Over the past 26 years, the organization has donated approximately 6 million coats and shoes across more than 4,000 communities nationwide. We are proud to continue supporting this enduring legacy of compassion and generosity, year after year.
